Local information for Portishead, Bristol, BS20 7PT

The town of Portishead with its Victorian architecture, wise pavements and colourful flower arrangements offers the best in relaxed shopping whilst sporting enthusiasts will love the town's sports and leisure complex, housing a large swimming pool, leisure and play pools, indoor bowls, badminton courts and gymnasium.

Portishead is within easy reach of Bristol with its superb shopping facilities, cultural events and urban style, while the historic city of Bath, less than an hour away, offers gorgeous Georgian architecture, the Thermal Bath Spa, the  Roman Baths, boutique shops and fine restaurants.  For fans of the great outdoors, the Mendip Hills are nearby.

Good road communications exist from Portishead with the M5 motorway less than five miles away and London within easy reach via the M4.  Nearby Bristol has an international airport and superb rail links.

M5 Junction 19, take the A369 exit to Portishead/Portbury Dock. At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto the Portbury One Hundred/A369. Continue to follow A369. At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Quays Avenue. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Harbour Road. Turn right onto Newfoundland Way. Destination will be on the left.
