Location
Monmouth is the fourth smallest welsh country town with around 474,000 people. Monmouthshire was created in 1536 from the Marcher Lordships of Newport, Abergavenny, Chepstow, Caerleon and Usk.
Situated in the beautiful South East corner of Wales, it has it all and more. Beautiful scenery, fascinating history, plenty of outdoor activities, including some of the finest golf courses in Wales, gourmet dining, ancient castles, stunning rivers and gardens along with bustling market towns, where you can savor the fresh local produce traditionally made. Monmouthshire is served by the M4 and M48 motorways to Bristol, London and Cardiff and to the north by the M50 to Birmingham and Manchester via the A449. The airports of Cardiff & Bristol are within easy traveling distance and there are fast train links to the county.

- Monmouth School - a mainstream Independent School for boys aged from 7-18.
- Agin Court School - a mainstream Independent School for pupils aged from 3-7.
- Monmouth Comprehensive School - a mainstream state school for pupils aged 11-18.
- Osbaston Church of Wales School - a mainstream church state primary school.
- Kymin View School - a mainstream primary state school for girls and boys aged 3-11.
Leisure & Culture
With four Leisure Centers around the County, exercise and lifestyle are paramount. Walking groups, exercise classes, tai-chi and dance groups are all on offer. There are four swimming pools in Monmouth with a wide range of swimming activities to suit everyone. Monmouth Borough Council manage and maintain a large number of parks and open spaces throughout the County. Many of them are in the main towns, some of the large open spaces are considered locally to be a park and have play and sport facilities and are regularly used for events in the summer months.
