Newcastle under Lyme is a historic market town with excellent road links via the M6, A500 and A50 giving access to the local are and beyond. It's pedestrianized High Street has a number of cafes, bars and restaurants where you can relax in a traffic free environment.
The town was planned and established by Henry II and it was given it's first charter in 1173. From the 16th to 19th centuries Newcastle had a prosperous hatting trade, hence the development name Milliners Green.
From the M6 Junction 15 take the first exit onto the A34 sign posted Newcastle. At the next roundabout take the second exit, continuing on the A34. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the A525. At the traffic lights turn right onto The Higherland which will take you on to Keele Road. At the traffic lights turn right on Milliners Green.
Newcastle under Lyme Town Centre is just over a mile away from the development and has a good range of shops including Boots, Argos, Next and much more. Markets have been held on "The Stones" in the middle of Newcastle since the 12h Century and today a traditional market is held six days a week together with a weekly Antiques market and monthly Farmers market. The town also has 2 major supermarkets.
On Keele Road, just half a mile away there is a convenience store and news agents with a Post Office.
Newcastle has a number of parks including Queens Gardens and Grosvenor Gardens, cleverly designed below road level. The remains of the mound of the "New Castle" motte can be seen in Queen Elizabeth's Park and Brampton Park is the home of the Museum and Art Gallery.

There are several schools within easy reach of Milliners Green. These include Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Colleges and the University at Keele.
The M6 motorway and A50 give excellent transport links to all major towns and cities and Stoke on Trent railway station is just 4 miles away. There is a bus station in Newcastle Town Centre and buses to Keel travel past the development on a regular basis connecting the development with both the University and Town Centre.
The University Hospital of North Staffordshire is two miles away and there are a number of doctors and dental practices within a 2mile radius of the development.
