We have recently acquired land in the town of Sandbach; our new development called The Heath will have a mixture of two and three bed town houses, three bed semis, and three and four bed detached homes.
A popular place to call home, Sandbach is a historical market town nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Its 16th century cobbled market square plays host to weekly markets and a number of craft fairs during the summer months. It also boasts a good selection of independent specialist shops as well as the popular high street names, there are a number of supermarkets including Waitrose, Aldi and Co-op and a thriving indoor market. For city centre shopping Manchester is only 40 minutes away and the attractive walled city of Chester is less than 30 miles away.
Sandbach sports and leisure centre is located on Middlewich Road behind Sandbach High School. The facilities include a swimming pool, squash courts, sports hall, gym and fitness suite. Outdoor tennis courts, netball courts and hockey pitch are also located at this facility. For the sports fans amongst you there are amateur rugby, football and cricket clubs in Sandbach.
The ever-popular Sandbach Park is situated in the centre of the town and includes two bowling greens, a children’s play area and picnic areas around the duck pond. It’s a great place for relaxing, and also an important site of special Scientific Interest as its wetland areas support a wide variety of unusual species of birds, flora and fauna.
The educational needs of this thriving town are well catered for with four primary schools. Sandbach High School and Sixth College was noted as ‘Outstanding’ in its most recent Ofsted report along with the boys and girls comprehensive schools. Further education and night school are available at Mid Cheshire College.
Sandbach has fantastic transport links with Junction 17 of the M6 less than four miles away making travel to Holmes Chapel, Congleton and other surrounding towns easy. The Heath is within walking distance to the bus route, making the two mile journey to the town centre quick and convenient. The railway station on the Crewe to Manchester line is also an easy walk from the development.
Health care is provided at Ashfields Primary Care Centre which can provide a comprehensive list of local GPs. The nearest general hospital is Leighton Hospital in Crewe.
