With more than 15,000 Instagram followers, Brooke Hampson believes the success of her account is down to her Charles Church home being so ‘Insta-worthy’.
The modest influencer is Charles Church’s latest brand ambassador and truly feels the design of her Fenchurch house type, with its spacious interior, makes for the most striking of shots.
Brooke’s natural conversational content and luxurious images on her @the_fenchurch account has not only attracted more than 15k followers, but each post regularly has hundreds of likes.
“I love it,” says Brooke. “I am very house proud and enjoy sharing my home. I guess I still cannot quite believe this beautiful house is mine.”
“Oliver and I got the keys to our house, at Prince Regents Court, on the same day as our third anniversary, and if that wasn’t memorable enough, Oliver proposed! It was the most wonderful surprise. We had spoken about getting engaged but with all the associated costs of buying a house I thought we would wait a while.”
Brooke describes her style as glamorous: “I like to use crushed velvet and shimmers and create a monochrome look, but sometimes I have to tone it down a little, after all it’s also Oliver’s home.”
“My favourite room is the kitchen dining area, it’s such a universal space. It features a snug where we have a grey button backed sofa, our six-seater glass dining table with the most amazing silver velvet, high-backed chairs, and breakfast bar yet it still feels incredibly spacious.”
“It’s such a sociable, yet cosy part of the house. We can both be together but doing completely different things.”
It is not just Brooke who loves this part of the five-bedroom home: the kitchen, dining and snug area typically accounts for the highest number of Instagram likes and comments.
“Before we moved in, we had bought many of our accessories, which was a bit of a gamble, but they have all worked so well – a sign, I believe, that this house is perfect for us. I adore my silver lion on the dining table, it’s such a statement piece, plus I love lions, while the square mirrored wall art in the guest room really adds a sense of glamour.”
“We have stuck with the original Charles Church interior painted walls as we wanted to let the house ‘settle’ before we painted, wallpapered or installed fitted wardrobes. I love the way our house looks but maybe we are yet to make our mark!”
Brooke, who takes the lead on furnishings, and Oliver, who manages the DIY tasks, are planning to landscape the garden over the summer and are currently gathering ideas for a hot tub, pergola and a soft seated area.
