Family trades in old home for village life

The lure of village life tempted a Northamptonshire family to trade in their old house for a brand new home in Roade.

Alison and Ross Sands returned from living in Sydney, Australia, two years ago to be close to family after the birth of their first child.

The couple initially moved to Abington but had set their hearts on finding a new build property in a Northamptonshire village – and the Charles Church development at The Hamlet in Roade ticked all their boxes.

Alison explained: “The whole reason for coming back to the UK was to live near our families, and being part of a friendly village community was top of our wish list. Roade is a lovely place, with really good schools, shops, everything you need close by.”

The couple opted to use Charles Church’s part exchange scheme, tasking the company with selling their existing house for them.

Alison added: “Part exchange made everything so easy. There was no stress selling the old house, Charles Church gave us a good price for it so we didn’t lose anything financially, and we were able to stay there until our new home was ready. It really was such an easy process.”

“My sister lives in a Charles Church property, so we knew they were built to a high standard and we love the style of the houses, The Hamlet was the perfect location for us. “We chose a Chestnut style house which has an ideal family layout, with good sized rooms. It is perfect for children, with space for a playroom and a decent garden.”

The Hamlet is a collection of three and four bedroom homes in picturesque Roade, located close to village amenities and commuter links to Northampton and Milton Keynes.

Charles Church Midlands sales director Claire Dearsley said: “Roade as a great place to raise a family.”

“With no estate agent fees, no chain and no delays, Part Exchange is a hassle-free, quicker way of selling your home. By removing the delay and uncertainty of selling your home, Part Exchange is perfect for those who want to move without the stresses and costs that come with selling a house.”

“We are delighted to know that Alison and Ross Sands have settled into their new home at The Hamlet, and wish them every happiness there.”
