Pupil's space artwork gets Charles Church's seal of approval

Two pupils from a Kirklees school have won a Charles Church space inspired competition.

A Year 4 and 5 pupil, from Flockton C of E First School impressed the Charles Church West Yorkshire team with their ‘out of this world’ design.

More than 60 pupils took part in the project, demonstrating their creativity and producing an array of colorful and original designs.

Simon Whalley, sales director for Charles Church West Yorkshire, added: “We were overwhelmed with the children’s imaginative creations. It was clear the children put a lot of work into their designs. It was difficult to choose winners.”

“The artwork by Scarlet, aged 10 and Jenson, aged eight will proudly feature in our space themed bedroom at our Hazelmere show home.”

The winning designs were full of colour and featured rockets, stars, planets and aliens. Mrs Bulmer, headteacher at Flockton C of E First School, said: “We are very happy to work with Charles Church. The development is very close to the school, so it is wonderful that the children can easily visit the show home and see their work in place.

“We feel it’s important to work with local businesses as it provides our pupils with valuable new learning opportunities.”

Charles Churches’ Hazelmere development in Flockton offers a choice of three, four and five-bedroom homes, ideal for growing families and those looking for a more space. Set in a peaceful rural location, locals can enjoy scenic views as well as a varied selection of local amenities.
