Rose gold and blush pink throughout ambassador's home

One of the advantages of buying a new build is that it gives you the luxury of time when planning your interiors, says our Instagram Ambassador Gemma Markland.

Gemma moved into her Charles Church, 4-bed detached Marlborough just six months ago, and the striking rose gold and blush pink theme throughout is stunning.

“We were in rented accommodation and knew that we wanted to buy a property in the same area pf Wigan. We also knew that it had to have a large, open plan kitchen family area, because that is where we spend most of our time, and have four good-sized bedrooms: the Marlborough fitted perfectly.”

“While we were watching it being built, I had time to really think about the interiors. I was initially going to go with a neutral theme, but I absolutely love blush pink and rose gold – they featured in our wedding last year – so was inspired to give the whole house the same theme.”

Gemma said the time spent waiting for the house to be handed over by Charles Church allowed her to browse the internet for inspiration, stocking up prior to moving in – a whole host of statement items that now adorn her home were safely stored in the garage!

“I love that the whole house has the same theme,” added Gemma, “that the colours run through everywhere rather than mix and match. I’m always looking online for inspiration.”

Gemma successfully runs her own business offering personalised gifts, but still makes time to post a home interior picture each day to her more than 14,000 followers. And sometimes they feature the family boxer Sox – who also has his own Instagram account!

Eagle eyed followers of Gemma’s account may notice one thing missing from the account though – pictures of the garden.

“The garden is definitely the next project. We’ve just built a fire pit and have a hot tub ready to set up. Watch this space to see how we get on!”
