Northampton

One of the largest towns in the UK with a population of around 215,000, Northampton boasts a long and varied history dating from the Bronze Age. Other key landmarks include Northampton’s market square, one of the largest and oldest of its kind in Britain. The town’s train station enjoys a key position on the Northampton loop of the West Coast mainline, linking the town to the countrywide network. For bus travel, Northampton’s North Gate bus station offers a variety of services to Wellingborough, Daventry, Towcester and beyond, and is a popular transport choice in the town. For those who prefer to travel by car, Northampton is well-placed for road links. Served by a number of trunk roads, including the A45, A43 and A14, the town also enjoys a position near key junctions of the M1 (junctions 15, 15a and 16), meaning easy road connections to Coventry, Leicester, Peterborough and beyond.

Finally, for air travel you have a choice of three major airports: Luton Airport 39 miles away, Birmingham Airport 47 miles away, and East Midlands Airport 52 miles away.
