Rednal

Rednal is a leafy residential suburb to the southwest of Birmingham surrounded by the Lickeys – Rednal Hill, Bilberry Hill and Cofton Hill - three hilltops creating a country park with panoramic views over the city. It’s a popular commuter area and a good family setting for your new home, with easy access to Birmingham, Bromsgrove, and Redditch, as well as to the lovely countryside of Worcestershire.

Living here

As well as its own local shops, Rednal shares the excellent amenities of the new Longbridge development close by. This inspiring community brings business opportunities, shopping, and recreation together in one place. Other facilities are available in Rubery high street

Getting around

The communication and transport network around metropolitan Birmingham is excellent. Junction 4 of the M5 is just 5 miles to the southwest and the Hopwood junction of the M42 is 4 miles away. The M42 gets you to the National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham Airport in just over half an hour. Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, and Redditch are within easy commuting distance, and Birmingham city centre is just under 10 miles away. The train journey takes around 20 minutes. There are regular bus services, taking a little longer. There are bus and train services to Northfield, Worcester, Bromsgrove, and Redditch too.

Going to school

Options for younger children are St Columba’s Catholic Primary School, Rednal Hill Infant and Junior Schools, Colmers Farm Infant and Junior Schools or St James Catholic Primary School. Secondary age students can attend Colmers School or St Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in nearby Kings Norton.

Time out

City life is exciting and energetic so it’s good to be able to escape to the country one way or another. You’ll not be far from the Shropshire Hills and the Malvern Hills Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or even the Cotswolds. Ludlow and Pershore are particularly lovely market towns for a great day out.
