Angus

Looking for a new home in Angus?

Angus has the North Sea and the Cairngorms National Park on its shoulders. Two different outlooks, both wild and beautiful at the same time. With a coastline of picture-postcard harbours and sandy beaches and a backdrop of hills and mountains, this is a great place to live.

To the south, Dundee is the industrial face of Angus, often called the City of Discovery. Its rejuvenated waterfront has given it a face-lift in line with its title as the UNESCO City of Design.

The east coast’s towns offer a different view, looking to their historic fishing legacy. There’s a sporting legacy here too, with the world-famous championship golf courses at Carnoustie. While Dundee offers a taste of its innovation and creativity, the Angus Glens lead you gently up to the mountains of the National Park, via Kirriemuir, The Gateway to the Glens.

The A90 is the main route across Angus via Dundee, whilst the A92 follows the coast via Arbroath and Montrose. A network of country roads around the county town of Forfar, keeps the county’s farming communities in touch. Aberdeen and Edinburgh are Scotland’s main east coast airports.
