The New Homes Ombudsman Service
The New Homes Ombudsman Service provides an Independent Dispute Resolution Scheme for properties covered by the New Homes Quality Code - your Sales Advisor will let you know if your reservation is covered by the Code. It is a free and independent service that investigates unresolved issues that arise within two years from reservation or legal completion. Before reporting an issue to the Ombudsman, you must follow the Persimmon Homes complaints procedure.
NHQB Code of Practice
The New Homes Quality Code provides clear and comprehensive requirements that developers must meet to provide quality, fairness, and good customer service throughout the process of buying, moving and settling in to a new build home.
The Code applies to developers who have registered with the New Homes Quality Board and have active status on the Register of Developers. They agree to comply with the Code and accept the decisions of the New Homes Ombudsman Service. Customers who reserved their home from a registered developer on or after their registration date are protected by the Code and are eligible to access the New Homes Ombudsman Service from the point of reservation and for two years post legal completion.
Read the Code to learn what is expected of developers.
