Charles Church site approved in Sutton Benger

Wiltshire Council has approved plans for 60 new Charles Church homes in Sutton Benger, marking a significant step forward in delivering much-needed housing in the village.

The reserved matters approval allows Charles Church to bring forward a high-quality new neighbourhood comprising 60 homes, public open space, landscaping and associated infrastructure on the site.

Designed to complement the character of Sutton Benger, the development will provide a mix of high-quality homes alongside extensive green space, a Local Equipped Area for Play (LEAP), allotments and improved walking and cycling connections.

The scheme also incorporates cycle parking, electric vehicle charging points and new footway links into the village, helping to support sustainable travel choices for residents.

Commenting, Charles Church Wessex Managing Director Seb Spiller said:

"We are delighted to have secured reserved matters approval for our Sutton Benger development.

"This is an important milestone that brings us a step closer to delivering a high-quality new community in a sustainable and well-connected location.

"The scheme has been carefully designed to reflect the character of the village, with generous green space, community facilities and landscaping integrated throughout.

"There remains a significant need for new homes across Wiltshire, and we are pleased to be helping meet that demand while supporting local employment, investment and affordable home ownership opportunities.

"We would like to thank Wiltshire Council, local stakeholders and all those who have engaged with the application. We look forward to commencing construction and welcoming our first residents in due course."
