Plans have been submitted for a new high-quality sustainable development off Sandhurst Lane in Twigworth.

If approved, the 85 new homes will be delivered by Charles Church, offering a mix of 1 to 5-bedroom properties including bungalows, maisonettes and houses, all built to a 5-star, high-quality standard to meet local housing needs.

Families will enjoy proposed safe and inclusive access across the site, including surfaced footpaths and a playground. The local community will also benefit from over £3 million in developer contributions if plans are confirmed.

Keen that development can also fit in with the local landscape and existing neighbourhoods, Charles Church has ensured design proposals maintain a traditional character appropriate to Twigworth and the Gloucestershire countryside and additional buffer planting proposals to soften impact. Additionally, plans include consideration for biodiversity net gain.

Dan Parker, Deputy Managing Director, Charles Church South Midlands, said: “We are excited to put forward our plans for new homes in Twigworth and look forward to working with local stakeholders and Tewkesbury Borough Council to deliver new high-quality homes for the area.

“These houses will deliver a variety of housing options for residents, meeting demand and opening up opportunities while investing and integrating in the local community.”

The submitted plans will now be reviewed by Tewkesbury Borough Council.
