Hertfordshire
Looking for an energy-efficient new home in Hertfordshire?
Hertfordshire is a Home County, combining town and country lifestyles with ease. The mantra here is ‘County of Opportunity’, a great starting point for a new home.
Living in Hertfordshire
With Greater London on its southern border, Hertfordshire has grown up with big city life as a backdrop to the arable landscapes between its larger towns. Cycling is a great escape here, as it’s not too hilly, opening up miles of country routes and beautiful tree-lined villages. Stop off in Cottered and Westmill in the centre of the county, or Much Hadham in the east. If you want to head for the hills, set out from the market town of Tring on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty shared with neighbouring Bedfordshire. A sure way to take stock of this thriving county.
The A1(M) and A10 cross into Cambridgeshire to the north, joining the M25 to the south, with Hertfordshire’s main towns along their way, from Watford to Stevenage, and from Hertford to Royston. Or make the most of the train services into London. Journeys from St Albans to St Pancras take just 20 minutes.
