East Sussex
Are you looking for a new home in East Sussex?
East Sussex is a countryside county with a famous seaside capital - the bright lights and colourful personality of Brighton.
Your seaside neighbours will be Kent and West Sussex if you choose a new home in this county. Together they dip into the waters of the English Channel on the south coast, with iconic white cliffs and long beaches. The towering Seven Sisters between Eastbourne and Seaford steal the show. Away from the coast, a quieter limelight is on The South Downs, with the plunging valley of Devil’s Dyke on its southern edge, and the High Weald with its classic English landscape of ancient woodland, farmsteads and villages to the northeast. Day trips in this wonderful county are centre stage and certainly worthy of an encore.
The A26 is the main route south, tracing a line from the M25 all the way to Brighton & Hove via Tonbridge Wells in Kent. The A27 heads east to west, the main route between Eastbourne and Brighton. Trains from Brighton to London Victoria or London Bridge take just over an hour.
