Rhondda Cynon Taff

Are you looking for a new home in Rhondda Cynon Taf?

This is the area that covers the famous Welsh Valleys. It’s part of the historic county of Glamorgan but has a strong identity of its own.

A new home here puts you within easy reach of Cardiff and Bridgend, with Newport and Swansea in your sights too. There are five valleys: Rhondda Fawr, Rhondda Fach, Cynon, Taf and Ely, and there are five principal towns: Aberdare, Llantrisant, Talbot Green, Pontrypridd and Pontyclun.

There are at least five great reasons for choosing a new home in Rhondda Cynon Taf: It’s easy to get to the coast to the south, the Brecon Beacons National Park is just to the north, it’s straightforward to get to both Cardiff and Swansea, the M4 runs along its southern border and the small towns and villages have a real sense of community driven by their shared industrial past.

Aberdare in the north of the county is the largest town, followed by Pontypridd – a University and Market town, and the principal town of Rhondda Cynon Taf -  in the south. It’s only 12 miles from Cardiff so this is a county with the capital on the horizon.
