There is easy access from Cottingham into Hull city centre just 5 miles away. The A1079 is the York to Hull road and the A164 is the direct route that skims the west of the city, starting in Beverley and crossing the Humber at Hessle. For out-of-town journeys, the A63 joins the M62 while the A165 takes you northeast and up the coast to Scarborough. Cottingham Station is on the Yorkshire Coast Line for trains into Hull, with York, Sheffield, Doncaster, and Scarborough among its destinations. There’s a direct train to London King’s Cross from Hull.
