Pollokshaws

Pollokshaws is in a great location, south of Glasgow city centre. It’s ideal as a base for commuting and for enjoying all that city life has to offer, whilst giving yourself the breathing space of a residential area for your new home. It does that in style, with the city’s largest and only country park right on the doorstep. The M77 will get you into central Glasgow in no time, crossing the iconic River Clyde on its way, and joining the M8 for Edinburgh - Pollokshaws to Scotland’s two great cities in two easy journeys.

Getting into Glasgow

Driving takes about 25 minutes, the most direct route being the M77. You can take a train from Pollokshaws West into Glasgow Central, taking just over 10 minutes so that’s a very popular option, especially as there are around 68 trains a day. Buses into the city run every 12 minutes too. Once there you have a fantastic, vibrant city centre to explore. From the Arts to retail, from student life to nightlife, its reputation is well-deserved.

Out and about

Your local motorway, the M77 has a dual purpose. As well as taking you into the city, it can whisk you south to Ayrshire’s coast for a change of scenery and the beaches overlooking the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran. From Irvine, you can follow the coastal A78 all the way back to Glasgow along a wonderfully scenic route that takes in the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.
