Travel and transport

The nearest train station is at March, 8 miles away, with services on the East Coast main line. You can be in Cambridge, via Ely, in about half an hour. There are convenient and direct road routes if you commute by car. The A141 runs through the town and joins the A10 at Ely, the A14 and the A1(M) at Huntingdon, and the M11 at Cambridge.

Local information

For a small town, Chatteris has some really good local amenities. These include a range of local shops, sports clubs and social clubs. The larger town of March is nearby for a full range of independent shops and national brands and for all that a small city offers, you can't beat Cambridge for its open-air market, boutiques, department stores and vibrant atmosphere.

Local schools

Chatteris has a range of preschool, day care, and nursery facilities. The two primary schools are Kingfield and Glebelands. Cromwell Community College is the secondary education provider.
