Nuneaton
Nuneaton is the largest town in Warwickshire. It’s shoulder to shoulder with the Midlands, at the heart of central England, at the heart of the transport network around Birmingham, and within a shout of Coventry, Rugby, and Leicester. This is a great base if you need to commute, but it’s got a busy commercial and business life of its own. A new home here puts a pin in the map for work and leisure, for easy access to excellent home-town amenities, city life, and country escapes.

Getting out and about
Nuneaton is 8 miles north of Coventry, 18 miles east of Birmingham and 16 miles south-west of Leicester. To get there you’ve got the M6, M42 and M69. The A444 inner city ring road, and the A47 Hinckley Road, are the other main routes in and out of town. There are two train stations, both near to the town centre, with services that include the West Coast Main Line and the cross-country Birmingham to Peterborough Line. Stagecoach in Warwickshire, and Arriva Midlands, operate bus services throughout the area. Birmingham Airport is a convenient half an hour drive, or by train via Coventry with an average journey time of an hour.
Sport and Leisure
You’ll have a choice of three leisure centres in the town. Pingles Leisure Centre has got indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the Jubilee Sports Centre is a multi-sports hall, as is the Etone Sports Centre which also has Astroturf pitches for football and hockey. If you’re a golfer, you’ve got Nuneaton Golf Club on the edge of town, and Oakridge Golf Club just out of town.
Shopping list
The Ropewalk Shopping Centre and the Abbeygate Shopping Centre should help you to tick everything off your list. They are both within the inner-city ring road, so easy to get to if you’ve come into town. The main pedestrian area of the town centre is where Nuneaton Market is held, every Wednesday and Saturday. It’s one of the largest markets in the area and so it’s a great place to browse and buy.
Out of town
If you want a break from busy town life, you can drive south into Warwickshire’s lovely countryside, visit Kenilworth and Warwick castles, or a bit further afield head into the Cotswolds via Stratford-on-Avon. Nuneaton is only a few miles from the border with Leicestershire, so you’ve got another county to explore too.
