Towcester
Going back in time, Towcester is one of Northampton’s oldest settlements. Looking forward, it’s a fast-growing community with great facilities and great connections. It’s clearly always been a popular place to live and so a new home here is going to be a good move.
This historic market town is close to Northampton, Milton Keynes and Banbury, a triangle of key towns with some lovely countryside in between. With the home of the British Grand Prix just down the road at Silverstone, Towcester is firmly on the map.

Living here
Towcester has a busy centre with a market town atmosphere. You’ll be distracted from your day-to-day shopping with all the independent shops, restaurants and cafés.
There’s a Farmers’ Market every second Friday of the month and an Antiques market every Friday in the town hall. This is just the sort of variety that brings people into the town, making it a cheerful and busy place to be.
Getting around
Times have moved on since the Romans but the A5 is definitely their legacy. It’s a busy through road but the M1 just to the east takes the lion’s share of the traffic. The A43 bypasses the town just to the north and is a good connecting route between the M40 and the M1.
Milton Keynes Central Station is ideal for trains to London Euston, with the fast services taking just over half an hour. Towcester’s bus station has regular services to Northampton and Milton Keynes, so that’s another convenient option for you.
Enjoying yourself
Towcester Centre for Leisure is on hand for serious exercise in the gym and workout studio or for family fun in the pool which has flumes and a wave machine. Milton Keynes is an absolute entertainment mecca with cinemas, Super Bowl, ice skating and indoor skiing. You name it, it’s got it.
A day at the races takes on a new meaning at Silverstone, just 4 miles away. You’ll hear the cars before you get there. For some peace and quiet the countryside around Towcester is lovely and the Woburn Estate just the far side of Milton Keynes is just one idea for a long walk and a browse in Woburn before you come home.
