A well-connected town
Nottingham city centre is just 8 miles away and the A610 takes you from door to door, via Giltbrook and Kimberley. Junction 26 of the M1 is just over 4 miles away between Kimberley and the outskirts of Nottingham. In the opposite direction the A610 connects with the A38 at Ripley, and just beyond, with the A6 Derby to Stockport road.
Bus services into Nottingham take about 40 minutes, with additional services connecting the other local towns and villages. You can catch a train from Langley Mill, a little over a mile away, for services to Nottingham, Sheffield, Chesterfield and Manchester. East Midlands Airport is under 20 miles away to the north, a half-hour journey by car.
A well-served town
Eastwood has all the local amenities that you’ll need and with Nottingham’s city centre within such easy reach, you’ve got city-sized facilities close by too. As well as its own local shops and businesses, including a Tesco Express and a Co-op, most of them along the Nottingham Road, there are two local retail parks, one at Giltbrook that includes an IKEA for everything for your new home.
Coronation Park is the town’s largest, with lots of outdoor facilities including a skate park, adventure play area and a sports pavilion. Hall Park, Jubilee Park, the Mansfield Road Recreation Ground and the Breach Cricket Ground are the town’s other green spaces.

There are five primary schools in Eastwood for you to choose from, depending on your catchment area. Brookhill Leys, Greasley Beauvale, Lynncroft, The Priory Catholic Primary School and Springbank. Hall Park Academy is the secondary school for local pupils to attend.
Ready for a break
For a change of scenery out of town, you’ve got Shipley Country Park. All 700 acres of it. With 20 miles of paths for walking and biking, fishing and horse-riding.
Nottingham’s got two country parks – Wollaton Park and the Holme Pierrepoint Country Park – but if you want your countryside on a grand scale, head for the Peak District, a 25-mile day trip away.
