Transport from Stubbington

Stubbington is 3 miles from Fareham, 11 miles from Portsmouth, and 14 miles from Southampton. The M27 motorway is the key route across the south of the county, linking the two great port cities. It links with the M3 just outside Southampton, for an excellent route all the way up to the M25 and Greater London via Winchester.  The A3 is another important route from Portsmouth up to Guildford via Petersfield, and into London.

Amenities in Stubbington

The town has a good range of local shops including a Co-op, as well as a medical centre, dental practice, library, and community centre. There’s a choice of primary schools and Crofton School is the local secondary school. There’s a tennis club, a bowling club, and of course – a sailing club. Nearby Fareham has an even wider range of shops and supermarkets, including a Tesco Superstore. It’s also a lovely place to go shopping, or for a meal out in the pretty town centre.

Exploring the Solent

This famous waterway will have you watching the nautical world go by - the sailing boats from the local clubs, the ferries heading to the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands, the commercial ships heading into port. It’s a fascinating ever-moving scene. The coastline has some lovely beaches, including your very own Hill Head Beach. Lee-on Solent is a favourite holiday spot where you can stroll along the length of Marine Parade, while Brownwich Beach in the other direction, is a peaceful nature reserve.
