You’ll find everything you need for day-to-day life on the island, including a range of pubs, eateries, supermarkets, shops and banks in Sheerness, a 6-minute drive from Minster on Sea. For a wider selection of shopping facilities and entertainment venues you could make the 8-mile journey to Sittingbourne on the mainland. The lively town has a long high street with a range of chain stores and independent shops, as well as the Forum Shopping Centre. There’s also a good selection of bars and restaurants, as well as the Avenue Theatre which offers a wide-ranging programme of plays, musicals, cinema and concerts. Further afield you’ll find excellent shopping facilities at Bluewater, whilst Ebbsfleet International Station provides a direct high speed rail service to London St Pancras.

Families are well looked after in Minster on Sea, with a choice of well-respected primary schools and pre-school nurseries. Secondary schooling is also catered for locally. Excellent transport links

Considering its peaceful village location, Minster on Sea is very well connected. Trains and buses run regularly from Sheerness to London, including high-speed rail services to St Pancras via Ebbsfleet International. There are also services to Canterbury and the south east coast of Kent. For travel by car, the M2 motorway is just approximately 13 miles south of Minster on Sea and also within easy reach is the M20, which connects Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel with the M25, Gatwick Airport and the Dartford Crossing.
