Coventry is served by four motorways, the M6, the M42, the M40, and the M1. This important motorway network puts Coventry is in a strong position. The A46 is the main non-motorway route which links the city to Royal Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Evesham, and finally the M5 at Tewkesbury. The train from Coventry to Birmingham New Street takes just under half an hour and to London Euston approximately an hour and a half. The local train journey between Coventry and Leamington Spa takes around 16 minutes. Birmingham Airport is just 10 miles away.

Finham Park School is a mathematics and IT college, The Coventry Bluecoat Church of England School is a music college, and the Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School specialises in languages. Other schools specialise in the performing arts, humanities, business and enterprise, and science. There are three Further Education colleges; City College, Henley College, and Hereward College. Coventry University has a city centre campus and The University of Warwick is on the southern fringes of the city.
