87 new homes secured in Cottingham

Our Yorkshire region has finalised a land deal which will bring more than £300,000 of community investment and 87 new homes to Cottingham.
The 4.7-hectare site, on Harland Way, will feature a selection of two, three, four and five -bedroom homes with 24 per cent of the properties designated as affordable housing.
Financial contributions will include more than £250,000 towards improvements to recreational and outdoor sports facilities in the area and £46,000 for the council’s affordable housing provision.
Scott Waters, managing director, said: “Following on from the success of our current Castle Hill development in Cottingham, just five minutes’ drive away, we are very pleased to welcome the local community to our new Harland Gardens development.
“The site has been carefully designed to feature a wide range of house types to meet the needs of the local market. Surrounded by local amenities, Harland Gardens is well placed for Hull city centre Beverley and York, and we expect there to be plenty of interest when we are able to release properties for sale.”
Planning permission was approved by East Riding of Yorkshire Council in November 2020 and work has begun on the site’s infrastructure. The Charles Church team is working towards releasing its first homes in Autumn this year.
“As part of our ongoing strategic development across East Ridings of Yorkshire, we are continually looking to expand our construction workforce and explore new land opportunities,” added Scott.
