Ipswich couple inspired by extraordinary design
A professional couple from Ipswich found themselves making a life-changing decision after a spur of the moment visit to an inspiring local show home.
Paul and Sue Chamberlain were not even thinking of moving house before they decided to “kill a spare ten minutes” by visiting Charles Church Anglia’s Latitude development on Downham Boulevard – but immediately fell in love with the extraordinary contemporary property.
Paul, 55, said: “It was a real case of opportunity and timing. We were quite happy with our property in Ravenswood, but Sue and I fell in love with the show home straight away and were really keen to have one of these unique houses for our own. They are so modern and quite unlike anything else we had ever seen.”
Latitude is situated 15 minutes from Ipswich city centre and adjacent to a country park, with the homes arranged around a circular boulevard with a landscaped children’s play area.
The exceptional four, five and six bedroom properties, from luxury house builder Charles Church, combine cutting-edge design with practical family home comforts, incorporating quality craftsmanship with high specification finishing touches.
The Chamberlains were handed the keys to their Hudson-style property just before Christmas. Their new four-storey home includes large, open plan living spaces flooded with natural light and an unusual roof terrace.
“We agreed to buy the house as soon as the plot was released for sale,” said Paul. “Buying ‘off-plan’ meant we were able to watch the building rise from just a plot of flat ground to this magnificent four storey building.
“We were thrilled to be moving into such a wonderful building, and excited to be the first people to own a home on this prestigious development.”
Although the show home was close to perfect, there were one or two slight adjustments Paul and Sue wanted to make to the design – and they were delighted with the developer’s reaction.
“Charles Church have been wonderful, consulting with us throughout the construction,” said Paul, a company secretary. “As stunning as the showhome is, they have accommodated a number of changes we requested, thereby enabling us to personalise the home to our individual taste.
“Throughout, the response from the Charles Church team was open, honest and clear. If something couldn’t be done they would explain why quickly, but otherwise they were very receptive to our ideas.
Latitude typifies the Charles Church Anglia philosophy of combining aesthetically pleasing designs, exacting standards and attention to detail at every stage of the construction process, to deliver homes of unmistakable quality and style.
The company’s dedication to craftsmanship and service has been rewarded with numerous consumer and industry awards.
There are currently a number of five bedroom properties available at Charles Church Latitude, priced from £392,000 to £439,950.
