10 August 2011
The style conscious need look no further than the imposing six bedroom Hudson showhome which has now opened its doors at luxury homebuilder, Charles Church’s Latitude development in the Ravenswood area of Ipswich.
The launch of the breath-taking Hudson showhome has been much anticipated by many, including local and out of area househunters, plus industry experts who have a keen interest in modern design and pioneering architecture as the overall development has already been recognised in the Housebuilder Awards’ Best Design category.
Jon Gibbs, sales director for Charles Church Anglia, states: “At Latitude we have maximised our opportunity to explore new design and build methods and have created a number of visually stunning, yet welcoming and practical homes.
“To reflect our commitment to and exploration of contemporary architecture, each of our bespoke housetypes is named after a celebrated explorer. We chose the Hudson house as our showhome as it is one of our most striking designs and we therefore wanted to demonstrate that although it comprises a very unique layout, it can easily be transformed into an inviting home.”
The 2,800 square foot Hudson is a substantial family home and has been professionally styled by leading interior design agency, Jane Clayton & Company. The designers used an in-keeping contemporary theme, with a colour palette of taupe and cappuccino and accents of black and red throughout.
Lisa Stone, showhouse team leader for Jane Clayton & Company, comments: “The Hudson was a great design to work with and we wanted our scheme to highlight some of the property’s greatest features including the amazing amount of natural light available plus the spaciousness of each of the rooms.”
Demonstrating the versatility of the property, Jane Clayton & Company styled a number of the bedrooms with an alternative theme. Therefore visitors will find an elegant formal study and a home gym, complete with mirrored wall and equipment. Plus there are exciting bonus areas to explore including the family room found on the third floor, which comes complete with a grand terrace.
Lisa adds: “The Hudson provides everything you’d expect from a family home and more. We’re extremely proud of our interior scheme, which we believe reflects the housetype’s unique space and I hope visitors enjoy exploring the property as much as we have dressing it.”
Jon concludes: “Now our impressive showhome has launched, we’re welcoming househunters looking for somewhere truly special to call home to explore the modern housetypes available. Due to the level of interest we’ve already received from both the local community and from those out of the area who looking for a stunning second home, we’re expecting our first release of designs to be extremely popular.”
Latitude comprises a select number of four, five and six bedroom aspirational properties.
The bespoke houses for sale in Ipswich all have vast open plan living areas with large areas of glass benefiting from solar gain and reducing the need for internal lighting. The wider development already hosts a local school, shops complex, health and sports facilities and public house as well as areas of open space for residents and visitors to enjoy. In addition traffic calming, cycle ways and footpaths enable safe and enjoyable passage through the development.
