Buyers move fast to snap up High Wycombe houses
21 August 2014
Almost half of the houses at a new development in High Wycombe have been sold – even before a single brick has been laid.
The development is being marketed with local agent Tim Russ and has seen huge interest since being launched three months ago.
Martin Perry, manager at Tim Russ’ Hazlemere office, said: “It’s been a fantastic start with a lot of interest.”
“We have sale agreed on six of the 14 houses before work has even started, so that really shows the vibrancy and the energy of the market at the moment.”
“The market has been supported by low interest rates and the Help to Buy scheme. We had a particularly busy April and May and we’d expect the remaining properties at Chapel Heights to be popular as well.”
Two semi-detached properties at the development were sold within days of being advertised and four detached properties followed soon after.
Martin said there had been particular interest from young families looking to lay down roots.
The development is a mix of three and four bedroom properties close to the beautiful Chiltern countryside and with convenient access to larger centres.
Ideal for families, there are a number of well-respected schools within a five mile radius of Chapel Heights, including the Ofsted rated 'outstanding' Wycombe High School.
Martin added: “It’s quite a scenic little development which is nicely hidden away but is still accessible with easy access to the M25.”
“It’s quite close to West Wycombe Park and also the grammar school. It’s a great chance for people to enjoy the bustle of town life but at a slower pace.”
