Charles Church agrees land deal for 94 new homes at major Bristol site
02 June 2025

Charles Church Severn Valley has reached an exciting agreement to purchase a new site to deliver homes for local people in Bristol.
The deal means Charles Church has acquired 6.8 acres from Crest Nicholson to construct 94 high-quality homes on the 1,290-unit site, which has outline planning permission, at Harry Stoke, South Gloucestershire.
Detailed approval for the Charles Church site will now be sought, with the application including a commitment to transfer 25 new properties to a local housing association, helping to address the local housing waiting list.
Charles Church recently had its five-star HBF (Home Builders Federation) rating confirmed for the fourth year in a row, meaning nine-out-of-ten customers would recommend them to a friend.
Commenting, Charles Church Severn Valley Managing Director Claire Burton, said:
“I am delighted that Charles Church has secured land in Harry Stoke to deliver high-quality homes for the area. I’d like to thank Crest Nicholson for engaging so positively with us throughout the process.
“Charles Church has a proud record of delivering homes for local people, building sustainable communities, and leaving a positive and lasting legacy across the Severn Valley region. We are committed to bringing those same ambitions to this site.
“We look forward to submitting our detailed planning application to the local authority as we seek to deliver quality new homes for local families.”
