Free solar electricity systems are offered for the first seven homes reserved
Charles Church Anglia has launched an innovative new showhome, demonstrating the company’s 'Living Green' commitment to exceeding environmental targets and offering free solar electricity systems to the first seven homes reserved.
The Oaklands development, at Norwich Common, Wymondham, combines the energy efficiency of new build homes with a range of eco-select options, helping home owners to lower their property’s running costs and reduce their ‘environmental footprint’.
Head of sales Alison Page said: “The launch of our new showhome at Oaklands was very exciting for all at Charles Church as this is our first development designed to include a wide range of sustainable solutions.
"Our new homes benefit from enhanced levels of insulation and efficient windows for comfort and lower energy bills. We also include water saving technologies, energy efficient heating systems and solar thermal panels for hot water as standard.
“In addition, buyers can choose from a range of extra options, including solar photovoltaic panels to generate their own electricity, wireless solar thermal monitoring and a wireless zoning system to help them monitor and reduce energy use, and a voltage optimisation device that ensures appliances use less power.
“What’s more, the first seven homes to be reserved at Oaklands will include a solar photovoltaic system fitted for free, helping them save up to £800 per year on their electricity costs.
Alison added: “We are inviting anyone interested in finding out more about energy efficient homes to come along to view the showhome and our plans for the rest of the Oaklands development.”
Oaklands offers three, four and five bedroom homes, built to Charles Church’s trademark high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The traditional market town of Wymondham is surrounded by lush countryside, includes a range of independent shops and is perfectly placed for access to Norwich, Thetford and the transport network.
The homes at Oaklands are designed to national standard Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, exceeding current building regulations and ensuring the properties minimise their impact on the environment, reduce energy consumption and are cheaper to run.
