Charles Church @ Haywood Village receives Highly Commended honour at Premier Awards

Charles Church, sister brand of Persimmon Homes, is celebrating national recognition after its flagship development, Haywood Village in Weston-super-Mare, received a Highly Commended Award in the Development of the Year (101–150 units) category at the Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards 2025, held in London.

The award is a proud moment for the Severn Valley Operating Business, with the development led by Senior Site Manager Andy Weller. With over two decades of experience and multiple industry accolades, Andy credits the achievement to the dedication and collaboration of his team. The site was one of just four across the UK to be shortlisted in the highly competitive Development of the Year (101–150 units) category.

Commenting on the award, Andy said:

Andy’s journey with Persimmon began just two and a half years ago, reconnecting with the Region’s Construction Director Robert Simpson, whom he first worked alongside as an apprentice carpenter over 40 years ago.
