Charles Church makes dreams come true for charity

03 April 2012

Charles Church is set to make more dreams come true for terminally and seriously ill children across the UK after raising nearly £50,000 for charity.

Charles Church and its employees have raised a total of £49,640 for Dreams Come True through fund-raising initiatives at its 24 regional businesses.

Dreams Come True is a children's charity serving the whole of the UK. Its mission is to make dreams come true for seriously and terminally ill children. Over the last 24 years it has brought happiness and joy to more than five thousand children as well as their friends, family and carers.

Charles Church has supported Dreams Come True for the last 10 years, with staff raising more than £600,000 during this time.

Steve Roche, group communications director, handed over the latest cheque. Speaking of the charity, he said: “Our employees work tremendously hard throughout the year to raise money for charities across the UK. Dreams Come True is an excellent cause and one we are extremely proud to be associated with.”

Peter Newman, chief executive, Dreams Come True, said: “Charles Church is a long standing friend of our charity. Over the last 10 years the company and its staff have raised in excess of £600,000 which has meant that many hundreds of terminally and seriously ill children have experienced the joy of a dream come true as a direct result of their efforts. We are so grateful for their continued commitment and loyalty to our cause, and so impressed with the ingenuity, enthusiasm and generosity of their fundraising activities.”
