Children get arty for showhome launch
15 November 2012
Children in Blandford Forum are helping to celebrate the opening of a brand new showhome in the town by taking part on an art competition – with the winning entries to be displayed at the development.
Students from the town’s Archbishop Wake Primary School are producing ‘Fireworks Party’ pictures to be judged by the team at the Charles Church new homes site. The top three entries will win gift vouchers and the chance to have their art work admired by all visitors to Beaumont Park.
Rob Allen, sales director for Charles Church South Coast, said: “The children at Archbishop Wake helped us to name Beaumont Park, so we thought it would be fun to keep them involved in how the site progresses.
“The opening of a showhome is always an exciting milestone in the life of a new homes development and one that we wanted the youngsters to share with us. We look forward to seeing how they interpret Bonfire Night and their fireworks illustrations, which should make a colourful addition to the décor at the site.”
Jo Hicks, head teacher of Archbishop Wake Primary School, added: “We encourage our students to take an active interest in their community, and links with local businesses afford us many learning opportunities.
“We are looking forward to taking our Key Stage 1 children to visit Beaumont Park and find out about the different vehicles used on a construction site as part of their topic work, and we are pleased to take part in this fun competition,”
The ‘Purbeck’ showhome and a ‘Corfe’ style view home open their doors to visitors this weekend.
The four bedroom Purbeck boasts a living room with patio doors to the rear garden, luxury kitchen and separate dining room, and a master bedroom with en suite and fitted wardrobes. The Corfe offers three bedrooms, with an en suite to the master bedroom, living room, kitchen and dining room with access to the garden.
Beaumont Park offers a range of three and four bedroom homes, close to the centre of Blandford Forum and within easy reach of beautiful Dorset countryside. Prices start at £183,960 with FirstBuy, the government scheme to help first time buyers onto the property ladder.
