Furniture auction to raise funds for children's charity
21 November 2014
Charles Church South West is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for a local children’s charity by holding a charity auction.
Charles Church will hold the auction on Saturday 15th November at its Great Woodcote Park show home in a bid to raise vital funds for Play Torbay.
Play Torbay is a small, voluntary sector organisation which offers free play opportunities and adventure activities for youngsters. The charity also has a team of experienced inclusion workers to support disabled young people so they do not have to miss out on adventure and play opportunities.
Tanny Stobart, who founded Play Torbay, said: “We would like to thank Charles Church South West for choosing to support Play Torbay through this furniture auction.
“Any funds raised at the event will help us reach even more children, and will really make a difference to their lives and provide them with lots of exciting things to do for free in their free time.”
Nina Hester, sales and marketing director for Charles Church South West, added: “We are thrilled we can hold an event to raise money for a service that directly benefits and helps people in the area.
“The auction is an excellent opportunity for people to pick up some lovely furniture pieces and with Christmas fast approaching it’s a good way of giving something back to the community and getting those last minute Christmas presents.”
The auction starts at 11.30am on Saturday 15th November at Great Woodcote Park, Admiral Way, off Topsham Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 7GT.
