Housebuilder generates goodwill with school donation

Charles Church has donated a power generator for a Blandford Forum school to use at its sporting and cultural events.
The equipment was handed over when children from Archbishop Wake school visited the Charles Church development, Beaumont Park, in the town.
Rob Allen, sales director for Charles Church South Coast, said: “The children of Archbishop Wake helped us to name Beaumont Park, so we have kept in close touch with the school and looked at ways to support the excellent work done by the staff there.
“They needed a power generator to use for events like sports day and school fetes, so we were pleased to be able to donate one when a group of year four and five student joined us at the site.”
Jo Hicks, head teacher of Archbishop Wake Primary School, said: “We are grateful to Charles Church for the donation of a generator which will be a real benefit to the children, powering our summer events.
“We hope to make a return visit very soon so the children can spend time watching builders at work on a live development, learn about the tools and materials used in construction and get a closer look at the machinery on site as part of their topic work.”
Delighted by the group’s enthusiasm, Rob Allen added: “It was a pleasure to have the children visit us on our development. They were a credit to the school – and I think we spotted a few budding site managers among them!”
Beaumont Park offers a range of three and four bedroom family homes, close to the centre of Blandford Forum and within easy reach of beautiful Dorset countryside.
Prices start at £214,950* and Charles Church offer a number of assistance schemes, such as Help To Buy and Part Exchange.
