14 December 2010
Architecturally stunning, forward thinking and houses for the future are just three of the phrases being used for premium homebuilder Charles Church’s Latitude development in Ravenswood, Ipswich and now the site has been recognised at a national level.
At the recent Housebuilder Awards representatives from Charles Church and RMA Architects were presented with a ‘Highly Commended’ accreditation in the Best Design category for 2010.
In addition to the unique, cutting edge design housetypes, key features of the development include the spherical boulevard layout, the areas designated for community open spaces, playing fields and soft play areas as well as the views of the local country park.
Andrew Fuller, managing director for Charles Church Anglia, states: “This is a fantastic achievement both for Charles Church and our designers, RMA Architects. With Latitude we have combined breathtaking modern design with practical and welcoming houses, which I believe will generate interest from a broad spectrum of househunters and those with a keen passion for architecture.”
Mark McGechan speaks on behalf of RMA Architects: “The Housebuilder Awards celebrates innovation and excellence in the housebuilding industry, which is why we are so pleased to have been named within the Highly Commended category.”
Latitude incorporates a fine collection of 56 innovative new homes, which all sit adjacent to a beautiful country park. The development hosts four, five and six bedroom properties, expertly designed by RMA Architects and Trevor Newman Associates.
Prices for the current release of properties start from £389,000 for the beautiful five bedroom Scott design.
The bespoke houses for sale in Ipswich all have vast open plan living areas with large areas of glass benefiting from solar gain and reducing the need for internal lighting. The wider development already hosts a local school, shops complex, health and sports facilities and public house as well as areas of open space for residents and visitors to enjoy. In addition traffic calming, cycle ways and footpaths enable safe and enjoyable passage through the development.
Although the Ravenswood community centre comprises a range of shops and amenities, the bright lights of Ipswich are also just a short distance from the development. Latitude also benefits from being situated close to the A12 and A14 and Ipswich’s mainline station is less than two miles away.
