Newly weds cut the ribbon to open a stunning new show home
30 March 2015
A pair of Carlisle newlyweds found themselves the centre of attention once again when they were asked to open a new show home in the city.
At the start of the year, Gary Martin moved into one of the new homes at Clover Fields, on Dalston Road, where he waited for his soon-to-be wife Sarah to join him. Having tied the knot last month, they are now settling into married life in their new home.
The development is a major milestone for regional builder Charles Church as it is the first site they have created in Cumbria. Clover Fields will have 103 properties in total with a range of three, four and five-bedroom executive homes of which every one is detached.
The happy couple were among the first residents to move into the development and sales and marketing director Diane Finch decided they would be perfect to open the stunning new five-bedroom show home. Diane said: “It is great to think that Gary and Sarah have chosen to start their lives together at Clover Fields. It has been wonderful watching them choose their new home, get married and move in and it seemed the perfect ending to them ask them to open the show home as well.”
Gary, 42, an IT director at David Allen IT Solutions, said: “We were delighted to be asked. It was great fun, especially when we were asked to wear our wedding outfits. What bride would not want to wear her wedding dress again?”
Greenwoods Menswear, in Carlisle, was happy to provide the wedding attire for Gary once again meaning the couple were picture perfect to cut the ribbon to open the new Hogarth show home.
Gary added: “We really fell in love with this development. The house styles are lovely and it feels exclusive with plenty of space around the properties and landscaped countryside feel all around us, which we prefer. Plus it is in the right area for us for commuting. It is just perfect with easy access to the city and the countryside. I used Charles Church’s part exchange scheme for my house which worked really well. It was very straightforward and certainly reduced the stress of moving into a new home.”
Diane added: “The show home opening was a lovely day and great fun for everyone. We have unique house designs here in a superb location among untouched countryside which are already proving popular with buyers. Nestled on the western side of the city, Clover Fields has easy access to West Cumbria and the Lake District and is only minutes away from the M6 via the northern bypass. It is a development that offers the best of both worlds.”
Buyers can visit the show home on Thursday to Monday; from 11am to 6pm. Sales executives are also on hand at the marketing suite to give more advice on schemes such as Help to Buy, Home Change and Part Exchange (on selected plots) and with prices from only £177,596 with Help to Buy, there’s never been a better time to move!
