Trainee sales manager Tania Lillie is building a head of steam in her career with us.
The 21-year-old has turned her back on working for a national coffee house chain to pursue a career in property, the field she really loves.
And in just two years with the company she is rising through the ranks and is forging a successful path through the Charles Church management training scheme.
Tania, who lives in Godalming, explained: “I was working for a coffee chain and it was the first full-time job I had after leaving school. I became the store manager, but it wasn’t really what I wanted to do with my life.
When I was at school I had done some work experience at an estate agents, and I knew property was what I really wanted to do. I love helping people find their home and helping them through the process of getting them settled.”
Tania, who is currently working at the stunning Sibly Park development, near Reading, added: “I began work at Charles Church and qualified under its training scheme as a sales advisor. I was put into the development in February last year and helped sell the homes off plan.
Due to demand, the first homes here have been released ahead of schedule giving customers the chance to select their own interior choices of kitchen, work surfaces and tiling.
A year later and I am now training to become an assistant sales manager. The learning is all on the job, and I will still be looking after Sibly Park, and will also have responsibilities for our Persimmon Homes development at Forge Wood in Crawley.
When I am qualified I will be fully responsible for launching sites and I can’t wait. I am so glad I made the move and I can honestly say I have never looked back. It is a brilliant career.”
Elaine Stratford, Charles Church Thames Valley sales director, says: “Tania has made a great start to her career. Her enthusiasm and youthful energy is welcomed by all her colleagues and we can see her moving up the career ladder with Charles Church in years to come.”
