Dream into reality as winner sees design come to life at the houses for sale in Leicester; Avalon
21 April 2011
Chloe Foster, winner of Charles Church’s ‘Design A Bedroom’ competition in conjunction with Rothley Primary School, visited the Avalon development and officially opened the room from which her winning design was created.
Cutting the ribbon, Chloe (12) saw for the first time the space themed bedroom complete with solar system and was overwhelmed at how a dream was turned into a reality and how her winning design was brought to life in the showhome at the Loughborough Road development.
Organised by luxury homebuilder Charles Church North Midlands, the ‘Design A Bedroom’ competition was launched to pupils at Rothley Primary School to mark the opening of its prestigious development with houses for sale in Leicester.
Chloe Foster said: “I was so thrilled when I heard I was the winner of the competition. I never thought that I would be picked. When I came up with my idea of Neil Armstrong first landing on the moon, I thought it would make a very different theme and I am really pleased that it caught the eye of the judges. It is great to see my design and how it actually looks, not just on paper, but in the flesh. I can’t wait for my bedroom at home to be designed which is such a fantastic prize.”
Mariana Knight, sales and marketing director for Charles Church North Midlands, adds: “It was great to see all the entries to the competition and you can really see the hard work and thought that went in to each and every design by the students which are also showcased in the showhome for all to see.
“When we design a room in one of our showhomes, we focus on making it both eye-catching and memorable and there’s no doubt that Chloe’s design, with the interpretation of our interior designers Killer 5, has achieved just that. It is so striking and we thank Chloe for officially opening the room for visitors.”
