Charles Church

Holly and Martin Lewis, staff nurses at West Wales General Hospital, have recently taken one step closer to work by moving into Charles Church’s luxury Meysydd Y Coleg development. Their new location is especially handy for the short commute but was invaluable when Holly was recently rushed into hospital after going into labour with her second child. New arrival Evie joins big sister Lily Ella, two years old, to complete the Lewis family.

Holly and Martin were already living in Carmarthen and first spotted the development when driving past three years ago. They had hoped to buy during the first phase but were not in a position to do so financially. After saving for three years, and with a little help from Charles Church’s Part Exchange scheme, they succeeded in purchasing their dream home.

Holly and Martin aren’t the only hospital workers to have bought at Meysydd Y Coleg, which has proved very popular with staff at West Wales General Hospital thanks to its handy location.

The couple have chosen a traditional style, double fronted, four bed Newgale house type with a detached garage. The Newgale features a spacious dual aspect lounge and a modern kitchen with room for table and chairs as well as a separate dining room and cloakroom. The master bedroom with its own en-suite is located on the first floor, along with three more good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Martin said: “The Newgale stood out for us because of its four bedrooms and large garden. It means we’ll have plenty of room, even when the girls get older and start wanting their own space. Holly will be on maternity leave for a while yet, but living so close to the hospital has meant that I’ve already made huge savings on petrol, which is particularly helpful at the moment. It’s also great to get home that little bit earlier to spend time with Holly and the girls. I know that several of our colleagues have invested in a property here for the same reasons. The development is in a nice, quiet corner of Carmarthen and the staff at Charles Church have been so helpful, talking us through the Part Exchange scheme and making the whole process as quick and easy as possible.”

Gerry Fox, head of sales for Charles Church West Wales, commented: “We offer our warmest congratulations to Holly and Martin on the new addition to their family, and hope that they will be very happy at Meysydd Y Coleg. It’s a friendly development and many residents have children of a similar age, so I’m sure Lily Ella and Evie won’t be short of play mates.”
