Coxhoe
Coxhoe is a peaceful County Durham village that’s on the up with a growing population and a good range of local services and amenities – some of which are village-owned and run – which is a great sign of the community spirit here.
The village is just 5 miles south of the fabulous cathedral city of Durham, so you’ll have a wonderful additional range of shops and services, entertainment and leisure just up the road. The A1(M) passes close to the village providing residents with an excellent direct route up to Newcastle-upon-Tyne and down to Darlington, and of course way beyond. It’s become a very popular place to live for those who need to commute to work at the same time as achieving a balance of family life that is part of a community. There’s plenty of open countryside to explore around the village and you can get your bearings from the hills around Old Quarrington.
